CSC and GIDEP asked Craytek to create new reports that could more effectively be used by program participant managers to monitor their company’s GIDEP utilization, and demonstrate cost avoidance results to their sponsors. The reports would need to support more advanced parameter entry scenarios than existing reports in order to handle larger participant companies with more employees.
Craytek analyzed report requirements by coordinating with government and contractor personnel, and by producing concept pages showing the proposed report parameter entry web forms. Craytek then developed the reports and enhanced parameter entry software in an iterative fashion, which allowed the customer to focus on each portion of the solution and provide increasing more refined inputs.
During one of the iterations a significant new requirement was identified, and Craytek was able to implement the requirement without adversely impacting the delivery schedule. Parameter entry forms and advanced JavaScript customization were finalized, Oracle database queries designed and tested, PDF and Spreadsheet output conversion formats implemented, and web results styled with CSS.
Craytek successfully created the Participant Utilization Reporting System (PURS) management reports that more effectively documented program utilization statistics and cost savings, and provided the reports in HTML, PDF and Spreadsheet (comma-delimited CSV) formats.
